7X7 Link Award; Thank you Eric Alagan!
I want to thank Eric Alagan of Written Words Never Die
for generously nominating me for the 7X7 Link Award!
It is an honor to have a writer I respect nominate me for this award.
Eric is a prolific published writer.
I have had a wonderful time watching Eric on YouTube. Thank you very much Eric!
(I am sorry this has taken me some time to get to. Thank you!)
Writing Step on a Crack has been intellectually, emotionally and spiritually challenging. I began the blog in late September and my writing has gone through changes, as has my life. Step on a Crack has opened a world of Joy and Support to me that I did not know existed. I am grateful for the fine writers I have ‘met’, the spiritual mentors I have ‘met’ and for all I have learned about myself, Words, and others while working on this blog.
I am to:
- Share something about me that no one (in the blogging community) knows…
- Link up to 7 posts of mine that I feel worthy:
- Nominate 7 bloggers for this award and inform them (with pleasure):
Stronger at the Broken Places?
I Have Been Places I Pray You Never Go
Tribal Drums Sound and the Healing Begins
100 Fucking Percent Forgiveness
*Nominate 7 bloggers for this award and inform them (with pleasure!)*
(I did not nominate blogs which have been nominated before. This was HARD!)
(OK. I went one nomination over. I am sorry)
I Am Not She Mel tells it like it is about recovering from Bulimia. She does this with courage, grace, honesty and with her ART!
Finding Urself after a Brain Injury This blog is very important to me. NJ GIRL writes from the front lines for those of us who are learning, day by day, to live with a Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI. She is an activist and one of my Heros.
Growthlines Paulann is a gifted therapist and a gifted writer. What more can you ask for?!
The Mindfull Creative Robin has created a wonderful place to share new ideas and is all Heart! Her tagline is:” creative sharings for new perspectives.” Rob writes about everything from repurposing an old sweater to how to deal with your teens new-found sense of freedom. Rob’s blog is like coffee with a Good Friend; Good Coffee too!
UR The Inspiration This is what Sean has to say about his blog: “playwright, publicist and smartass. This blog tells the story of my recovery from alcoholism, drug addiction and other knee slappingly hilarious topics! It’s the feel good comedy of the summer” You HAVE to check this out.
These Women, their hearts and their blogs and their loving support have been a Light in Darkness and were all key in my finding forgiveness for my mother. You need inspiration? The following Blogs are a Go To:
Home’s Cool! Kathy’s blog is chockfull of How To Live With Heart stuff. Kathy has been instrumental in getting me up and walking on the days I Just Don’t Want To.
Living in Graceland Debby walks the Talk like few I have ever met. I would not have been able to forgive my mother before her death without her Support.
Good Life No Alcohol Heidi has Humor, Faith and Words on her side! She knows what she is talking about when it comes to recovery. She makes it Fun!
I never expected the support I have found in blog land. I never expected to make friends.
Words.
Words are a wonder.
Love is even better.
Peace, Jen
LOVE YOU!!! That’s all 😉 Congrats and many thanks for pumping me up. Angel & WARRIOR!! xxxxxooopo Mel

Jen, your entries and poems come to my email; I read when able so don’t comment much for which I am sorry because you are so honest, so truthful and share such deep pain and joy. You totally deserve this blog award – I love reading your words, even when I feel the pain and sorrow behind them. You reach our hearts..thank you.

Dear Jen,
Please accept my sincere apologies for coming over so late. For the life of me, I don’t know how I missed it and have again clicked the ‘follow’ button.
Your posts reflect what a brave and tough woman you are – raw ore fired and beaten into gleaming steel.
You well deserve this and the other awards.
Eric 🙂

Oh, yes, beaten into gleaming steel. Eric is so right. None of us want to be that, but you, Jen, sure do show us how.
It becomes you.
Thanks for reading at my site, in the first place.
Second, thanks for getting it. I knew when I could tell that you were getting it, that I was getting somewhere.
Third, thanks for thinking of me when you passed out awards.
And last, but not nearly least, thanks for being the kind of writer I cannot wait to see in my inbox.
Love ya. <#
